Cookie Policy
We set the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to complete a LinkedIn connection safely. That is the entire list. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers.
Effective 26 August 2026.
1 What a cookie is here #
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser and reads back on your next request. We use them for one thing: knowing that the request in front of us is from someone who has already signed in.
2 What we set #
- Session cookies. Set when you sign in, and refreshed as you use the product. They hold your authentication session. Without them every page would ask you to sign in again. They are set by our authentication provider on our behalf, on our domain.
- A LinkedIn connection cookie. Set for a few minutes while you are connecting your LinkedIn account. It holds a random value we generate and check when LinkedIn sends you back, which is what stops someone else’s LinkedIn account being attached to your Troofrnd account. It is discarded once the connection completes.
All of these are strictly necessary. There is no third category.
3 What we do not set #
We do not run analytics on this site or in the product. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, and no third-party tracker of any kind. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not track you across other sites, and we have nothing to share with an ad network because we do not collect it.
4 Consent #
Strictly necessary cookies — the ones that keep you signed in — do not require consent under Indian or EU rules, because without them the service you asked for cannot function. That is why you are not being shown a banner. Since we set nothing else, there is nothing to opt into or out of.
5 Controlling them anyway #
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies. Blocking ours will sign you out and prevent you signing back in — the session cookie is how signing in works — so this is really a choice between using the product and not.
6 The browser extension #
Our extension does not set cookies. It stores one pairing credential in Chrome’s extension storage, which is not a cookie and is not readable by any website. See the extension privacy policy.
